    • No expensive skilled personnel required
    • The automated SBR Controller is reliable and less prone to human error
    • Less electricity is used due to greater plant efficiency, higher oxygen transfer rates, and unique features such as water transfer by airlift and automatic switching to EcoSave mode in low inflow conditions
  • Versatile: EcoSBR can cope with shock loads and treat a wider range of wastewaters than traditional wastewater treatment systems.
  • Efficient: EcoSBR systems are more efficient at removing pollutants than traditional plants.
  • Flexible: Our EcoSBR solutions cater to various treatment capacities, from small households to large residential estates and industrial applications.

Jäger ClearTec IFAS

The Jäger ClearTec IFAS system is a distinctive, patented, self-cleaning technology that is user-friendly and does not require specialised expertise like other IFAS systems

Key Features of Jäger ClearTec IFAS System

  • Enhanced Biomass Concentration: The extensive surface area of the bio-textile facilitates a significantly larger population of microorganisms. This allows for greater microbial growth, leading to more effective pollutant removal from the wastewater.
  • Optimised Oxygen Supply: The Cleartec® technology ensures efficient oxygen supply to the biomass, promoting better nitrification and overall treatment efficiency.
  • Improved Sludge Settling: Cleartec® has better settling characteristics than conventional activated sludge systems. This is because the fixed-bed media helps to reduces the filamentous bacteria in the sludge, which can cause bulking and poor settling.

Jäger ClearTec – The quickest and most cost-effective way to increase aeration basin capacity by up to 50%

  • Reduced Sludge: The ClearTec system generates less sludge compared to conventional activated sludge systems. By separating the hydraulic retention time (HRT) from the solids retention time (SRT), it enables more complete biodegradation of organic matter, thanks to the extended sludge age.
  • Flexible Media: The system uses specially designed Bio-textiles that are resistant to clogging & fouling. The flexible bio-textile has a unique self-cleaning action.
  • Modular Design: The Cleartec® modules are easy to install and maintain
  • Improved Effluent Quality: The system enhances the removal rates of contaminants such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), and ammonia nitrogen (NH₄-N), resulting in higher quality effluent.

At First Aqua Water Purification, we are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality water purification solutions. Our mission is to ensure that every drop of water you consume is clean, safe, and free from contaminants.

Filtration & Membrane Technologies

Filtration for removal of suspended particles from water by passing it through a filter.

Media Filters:

Selectra offers a wide range of media filters, the most common media being AFM® and GAC.

Activated Filter Media – Dryden Aqua developed AFM® for greater efficiency and longevity compared to sand as a filtration media. AFM® excels at efficiently removing small particles, making it perfect for industries requiring high-performance filtration, such as the food and beverage sector. Its unique properties aid in reducing water consumption and consistently deliver pathogen-free water

  • AFM®s has a high negative surface charge best suited for the removal of positively charged particles such as particulate heavy metals (e.g., Iron, Manganese and Arsenic).
  • AFM®s: Filters 95% of all particles down to 4 microns
  • AFM®ng has a water-repellent, neutral surface that makes it very good at removing physical contaminants such as hydrocarbons, organics, and microplastics from hard and soft water.
  • AFM®ng: Filters 95% of all particles down to 1 micron
  • AFM®ng specifically designed to remove organics and microplastics from water by absorbing them onto its hydrophobic surface. The polar bonds between the contaminants and the AFM®ng are broken during backwashing, allowing the contaminants to be flushed from the filter.

Key features of AFM include:

  • Enhanced Filtration: AFM has a surface area up to 300 times greater than sand, allowing it to capture finer particles and provide better filtration.
  • Self-Sterilizing: The activated surface of AFM prevents bacterial growth, reducing the risk of biofouling and mud-balling.
  • Durability: AFM does not need to be replaced and is recharged by simple backwashing with water.
  • Chemical Resistance: AFM is resistant to chemicals and can remove metals and heavy metals from water

Granular Activated Carbon – GAC

GAC is a widely used filtration media made from carbon-rich materials such as coconut shells, coal, or wood. It is highly effective in removing organic compounds, chlorine, and other chemicals from water. Key features of GAC include:

  • Adsorption: GAC works by adsorbing contaminants onto its porous surface, effectively removing them from water.
  • Versatility: GAC can be used in various applications, including drinking water purification, wastewater treatment, and industrial processes.
  • High Surface Area: GAC has a very high surface area, allowing it to adsorb a large amount of contaminants.
  • Customizable: Different types of GAC are available, each with specific pore structures and adsorption properties tailored to different contaminants

Cartridge / barrier filters:

These filters use a replaceable cartridge to remove particles from water. They are very effective at removing a wide range of particles with periodic replacement of the cartridges.

Membrane technologies

use a semi-permeable membrane to remove contaminants from water. Membrane technologies are extremely effective in removing small particles and suspended solids. Reverse osmosis (RO) systems can remove down to 0.0001 microns, such as dissolved salts, minerals, and metals.

Water Softening Systems:

Water softening systems are designed to remove hardness-causing minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium, from water. These minerals can cause scale buildup in pipes, appliances, and fixtures, leading to reduced efficiency and lifespan. Ion exchange water softeners are the most common type of system. They use resin beads charged with sodium or potassium ions. When hard water passes through the resin bed, the calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for sodium or potassium ions, effectively softening the water.

Demineralisation Systems:

Water demineralisation systems are designed to remove dissolved minerals and salts from water, making it suitable for various industrial and commercial applications. These systems typically use ion exchange, reverse osmosis, or distillation processes to achieve high-purity water.

  • Ion Exchange Demineralisation: This method involves passing water through ion exchange resins that replace undesirable ions (such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, sulphate, and nitrate) with hydrogen (H⁺) and hydroxide (OH⁻) ions. The resulting water is free of dissolved minerals and has high purity.
  • Demineralisation is used in industries requiring high-purity water, such as pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, and power generation. It’s also used in laboratories and medical facilities.

Custom Solutions: We understand that every client has unique requirements. Our team of experts will work with you to design and implement a tailored water purification solution that meets your specific needs.
